I had a letter come today from RLP, asking for £250. I literally paid for all my stuff and completely forgot about a £3 pair of earrings in the hood of my pram which obviously someone saw me put there. Fair enough, I admitted wrong doing I was sorry etc , offered to pay.
can they send bayliffs to my house? Or take me to court?
I don’t know whether to just pay it as I’m just so worried

What RLP has sent is a speculative invoice, it doesn't have a breakdown of costs, because any actual costs are budgeted for in their business plan. They know this as they tried to argue their perceived costs in Court and lost. So Court is remote, the saying 'once bitten twice shy' comes to mind. They will send 3 letters, increasingly desperate, ignore them, file them in your 'junk folder'. Do not pay them, as there is nothing to pay, they got the £3 'earrings' back, security did their jobs, there is no loss.
