  • Letter from RLP for civil recovery from previous employer

Hi, I used to work for Boots. Last year mid- August I have resigned during a fact finding meeting. I did refund £349 to my own card using Apple Pay and another was £222 on a different date. They called me and showed me cctv footage on first one- which I acknowledged but then they asked about 2 Bd one which I declined. I then resigned during meeting immediately and never contacted with them. Today received letter from RLP to pay the amount of £1188.43. Also letter said I was in an investigation meeting- which is wrong. I may have signed the letter of fact finding meeting. This company has made me work so many extra hours without pay and I was financially struggling. Now I am not in a situation to pay. Will they report it to police/ court? Can I ignore the letter.
    thank you
