ignored them - unless a N1 court form arrives ignore, they are begging letters from them - no powers after about 5 then usually that is it, the other thing is keep out of shops if any intention is to steal as might get away with it sometimes but as others find out their luck soon runs out and they end up within 4 walls ( usually crying asking for mum?

You were only caught shoplifting on 31st Oct ?
Invoice from RLP could be a couple weeks away yet.
The police weren't called and there was no accusation of your being a serial shoplifter by the store.
Its very unlikely you'll hear anything else other than RLP.
If you did it again though they would have a record of your having done the same previously and are more likely to get police involved and potentially investigate previous losses that can be attributed to you by trawling the cctv on dates they know you were there. So don't.#staysafestayhome

Amethyst I learned my lesson and will definitely not be doing it again ever I dk why I did it to be honest no clue why I did it keep asking myself the same question but I'm worried that's why I'm trying to find out how long they keep cctv or how it works thanks for your help I doubt it that the police will be involved now but I read online idk if it's true it says police only investigate if its more than £200? Ain't sure how true it is but I know I did wrong and I can't help but I feel so guilty it's like I can't move on and it's not my life I can't forgive myself but i did tell my mum about the incident on the 31st but none before that so that's why I'm thinking if they see cctv they know its me and they have my address wouldn't the police have come. By now also does anyone know for how long they have to file a case against you isn't it a year? +%

get on with your life now = lesson learnt, your mum knows (good) remember do not get involved again, stay away for a while from that store, they cannot go any further unless they have good reason, you not going there sorts that out for at least a year? letters RIP etc ignore they have no right to demand anything (one day that will be another scandal to come to light as many other areas will)

Mike I'm still scared I'm just thinking about all the stuff I read about online if they know its me and have me address they would have come after me by now wouldn't they I'm living on edge all the time some people get away with it and some people say u can still get in trouble now so in the UK if you get caught how long can they report a crime against you is it one year I ain't daring to go there no way

There's no court letter Rose xx Mike means if primark wanted to take you to county /civil court for payment of the invoice RLP will send, they would have to send a preaction letter first so you would have plenty of opportunity to settle before any hearing.
There's no police involved so there's no criminal charges or magistrates court.
What happens is RLP ( a private company) will send an invoice on behalf of Primark for alleged costs incurred by Primark for their security person talking to you on the day you were stopped.
It will be for something like £180. It might not arrive for 3/4 weeks yet.
You can pay it or you can ignore it.
If you pay it they go away. If you ignore it they send 5 or 6 more letters then they go away.
Thats it xxx#staysafestayhome

If the Police had been involved you would have heard by now, yes.
RLP letter will be a couple weeks yet. But it is nonsense so you can ignore it.
Nothing will go on your record at all.
