Hi There,
Please could someone help me, I sold a motorcycle on the 24th of may 2017, The gentleman turned up paid cash and rode the motorcycle away, When selling the bike he signed a documents to say the bike was "sold as seen with no guarantees" Well on the 04/07/2017 he contacted me to say the bike had gone wrong and he wanted a refund!
I panicked at the time and said I was going to contact a solicitor, I wasn't ever going to do this but more look up legal advise. I have seen that as a private sale he is not entitled to a refund, I have now advised them of this but they are now asking for the letter from my solicitor (which I clearly don't have)
First of all can anyone confirm I am within my rights to refuse a refund? Also can anyone tell me where I can get a legal letter for free so that I can send them on to the buyer to cover my back side?
