Hi everyone,
I hope someone can help me. I purchased a small plug in heater from Argos and after using it the other night i went to turn it off and noticed that the plug had started to melt. I waited for it to cool down before inspecting it and the plug pins have cracked, the fuse is now starting to look like it is pushing through the back of the plug. It has also damaged my plug socket which has cracked around the hole that the damaged plug pin was in and it is also all burnt.
The reason for this post is because after contacting Argos the other day to tell them about this they offered to replace the heater and fix the socket but this was just a customer service agent that offered this and I asked for the issue to be escalated to a higher person as I feel the heater model is faulty and could risk lives of other customers. This was 4 days ago and they have not responded to my emails.
I searched on Twitter and have seen other people mentioning the models and plug getting very hot. Can anybody point me in the right direction or even give me some advice as what I can do now as this complaint is not just about receiving a new heater it's more bout that risk that my home could of burnt down and but also other people can buy this heater from Argos.
Thanks
Ro
