I have a friend who imported some hover boards from Hong Kong / China. The boards were held by customs for several week before being released meaning the Christmas trade was lost as they were not received in time.
The boards have now been received - they have the correct fused plugs and parts for the UK. My question is what would be an appropriate disclaimer to cite when selling the hover boards on a website. The boards must be used in accordance with the manufacturers instructions and charged accordingy etc (not allowed to overcharge /overheat.
What wording can be used to ensure that the seller is not held responsible / liable for any damage / injury to persons or property from not following the guidelines / instructions.
Any help would be really welcomed and appreciate.
As an aside do customs have to provide a valid reason for holding the goods for so long before releasing ?
