Hi Allosh, and welcome to LB

It sounds like you are over the time given for cancelling your course, but you can till try contacting the course provider and requesting they allow you to cancel. Your local MP or CAB branch should be able to correspond with them on your behalf (meaning your lack of English will not be a problem). You might find that Trades Gateway will be nice to you and allow you to cancel anyway :santa_wink:

Which course did you sign up for?
Which finance company are funding your course?

You say that the finance company have sent you no correspondence informing you of your payment schedule or cancellation rights? That doesn't sound right to me Is there any way you can scan/photograph all the paperwork you have received from TG and the finance company and post them up on the thread (with your personal details removed)? Alternatively, you could email them to me at kati@legalbeagles.info

Hi Alaaeddin ..., thank you for the email. I'll have a look through the paperwork later today

It seems that most of the finance schedules for Trades Gateway courses (at least those I have heard of personally in the last year) are conducted through CF4TS.

Ok ... so far it looks like they are saying they will postpone the course "as a gesture of goodwill", but you will still have to pay the financing company.

what did you put in your letter to them?

            Hello

I received a letter a few days ago from Career Finance 4 Skills Ltd saying about the Credit Agreement. I have cancelled the course from Trades Gateway but I have been told that the current Credit Agreement still stands. I have checked through the paperwork as well and found out the name for the direct debit does not match the name on my debit card. I also got told about the second copy of the Credit Agreement coming through the post but I don't think I've received it or not. I am not sure what to do next now.

I would send a CCA request to Career Finance 4 Trade Skills Ltd. Do you have a copy they left with you, and did the sales rep sign it on behalf of the finance company ?

What was your reason for cancelling the course ? If it was misrepresented/missold etc you might have a claim against the finance company.

Yes. The sales rep signed it on behalf of the finance company. The reasons why I decided to cancel is that I'm running low on money and that I have no time to do the course due to my current employment role.

Yeah. I did hear something back from them but they said that the CCA stays the same and rejected my application to cancel the direct debit. They said that I need the second CCA to send but I'm not sure if I was sent it or not. I did notice that the name on the direct debit agreement does not match my name on my debit card though.

Hi there. I've read every single comment on this thread. The only thing i am not sure about if this plumbing course from tradesgateway is legitimate or not. Seeing as this company was set up October 2013 and according to them it takes over a year to qualify. Plus reading the thread it seems like no one has completed this course yet. How can you be sure it is actually industry recognised certifactes and not in house certificates. Thank you in advance.

Make some calls to employers / industry bodies and ask them about becoming qualified and what their views on that course/ those qualifications are. Can't beat an apprenticeship, in my view anyway.

                            Hi,
I have landed my self with the same problem. I cancelled after the 14 days grace, on the 20th day and I'm now liable to pay the whole amount of 6K. £145 x 43. I have already paid the 1st month with a £50 deposit for the course. the course. I'm wondering if anybody has any suggestions on what I should do as I'm been called every day with threatening phone calls of bailiffs. The situation is very sickening as I simple can't manage the course and can't believe there is no way out here. I have send them an email cancelling however they have not informed the financial company ( CARNEGIE) nor it appears won't. It appears there is no way out apart from a bad debt or pay the 6K while will not happen. Can anybody give me some small advice. Many thanks Jim.

                            Ps. the post

                              Hi MikeLLoyd,
I just cancelled the payments as I believe there is no talking to these people. I was sold this for something it is not.
I don't believe there would be any chance to get money back form these people if I was to keep making the payments.
Would be great to speak to you and compare how we get on.

                              Good luck, J.

                                Hello
On 6th Feb 15 I signed for the course and I wish to cancel it, but I'm not sure which is the registration number.
On the top of registration form there is Referring Client's Registration number which is left blank, below that there are two numbers: PREFIX and ACCEPTANCE CODE. Also what would you advice before sending them the notice. Thanks
