Hi AmethystOriginally posted by Amethyst View PostHave you sent a CCA request at all to CF4TS for a copy of the agreement ? If not I'd do so ( http://www.legalbeagles.info/forums/...y-of-Agreement )
I'd also send a DPA Subject access request and ask for a list of all transactions and documents to do with the 'loan'.

I haven't asked them for anything, I am just ignoring the problem which is probably the wrong thing to do. Thank you for the template letter, I will do that. Although CF4TS have now said that all correspondence should go to a company called ARC Europe Ltd now.... Would they have all that info? Also, if they can't even acknowledge the £1500 they received from my previous employer how could it stand up in court? Not to mention there is no sign of a credit agreement in my credit report

Did you receive any notice (letters) from CF4TS before your "debt" was passed on to DRS (and ... are DRS a group called Ardent Credit Services by the way)? Can you possibly email me (kati@legalbeagles.info) any letters you've received so I can start you a new thread, where you'll get more help from the Beagles in regards these "debt collectors"?
K x
I have just got to work and looked through the paperwork. The heading says Debt & Revenue services, not Debt Recovery Services as I thought. Down at the bottom it says email to DRS@ardentcredit.co.uk so yes it is who you thought. After DRS phoning me dozens of times over 6 months and not getting anywhere, I've checked my letters and CF4TS got back involved and it was them that sent a letter saying they have now referred it to ARC Europe Ltd and I must forward all correspondence and payments to them now. I then got a letter from ARC Europe Ltd a few days later saying I need to pay them £5400 and they can help me pay it in manageable spread out payments. There is no sign anywhere of the £1500 my previous employer paid to them towards the training. Thats where we are right now. I'll email you privately the letters that I do have and you can see exactly what they say.

Re: Trades Gateway cancellation Help Please
Hi Phillious
Of course we don't tend to hear the good stories so you have to be your own judge and really, trust your gut instinct. Are you currently unemployed ? You could always look at local college courses or ask at your job centre for training, at least research your options and the actual job market prospects well before committing to £5-£7k.
On this bit ''all i had to do was go through a credit check ect and i could sign up and start the course'' - did he explain how he would do a credit check ? Did he do one? and did you pass? (and should you have?)
Did he do an affordability check ?
On the first appointment - did he get you to sign anything at all ? even just to confirm he'd visited ?
Did he explain anything about how much to course cost is, or how the finance works ?
( from reading the FCA rules it appears they have to do two visits to get around their not being allowed to canvass off trade premises - hence the suitability visit THEN the paperwork visit )

Yes I have letters in my drawer at work I can send you copies of. No, the only time I heard from CF4TS was text messages saying 'we failed to collect payment, can you please forward payment'. Then after a few months got letters and phone calls from DRS ( think they're called Debt Recovery Services )..... Now a 3rd company have contacted me saying they've took over the debt.... I'll get their name tomorrow.
And thanks for the warm welcome

Re: Trades Gateway cancellation Help Please
I'm sorry to hear of all the troubles you are having with these companies. But no i have only canceled my Direct Debit this last week and my next payment would be due to go out at the end of the month. As of yet I have not heard from either companies or any debt recovery companies.Originally posted by HedgefunHi ArcB
I signed up in October 2014. Same as you all started off ok, fired through 4 TMA's. Then it got down to the online practical assessments, I had trouble sending my work, had to message trades gateway numerous times and they informed different ways to install the disk etc. After doing the assessment 3 or 4 times and unsuccessfully, wasting around 20 hours of my time, submitting my work to them I gave up. I complained to them, they just kept telling me to try different things to install the disk. I gave up on the course and tried to cancel. They weren't interested. Then I found this site, seen people having same problem as me with online practical assessments, feedback was it was a prehistoric grossly outdated program which didn't surprise me. But that's by the by. My issue also was that I wasn't made aware that I was entering a credit agreement, I was led to believe it was a pay as you learn type agreement. Career skills 4 finance have since sold the debt to a debt recovery group called DRS who are chasing me for £5400. I paid 2 months fees, £270, which hasn't been took off the £5400, the company I got made redundant from pledged £1500 towards retraining which I have the invoice for as being paid, hasn't been taken off, so if I do owe anyone anything it's around £3630. But after the debt management company harassing me by mail and phone for 6 months, sending me letters saying debt collectors are coming to my house in next 4 weeks, they have now sold the debt to a 3rd debt/credit company who have this week sent me more letters saying I need to pay the £5400. Like you, I signed up to noodle.co.uk and there's no evidence of a credit agreement on my credit score. I believe they are crooks, their "credit agreements" wouldn't stand up in court and no one will get a penny from me...
Anyone else got these debt recovery companies chasing them?

Re: Trades Gateway cancellation Help Please
Sorry Kati but I do not have a email to send to you. I was so concerned at the time that all correspondence was done over the phone.Originally posted by Kati View PostYou said in your first post that you are waiting for Trading Standards to get back to you regarding a complaint (via CAB and Consumer Finance). Have you got a copy of the complaint you could email me (kati@legalbeagles.info)? Or any correspondence from CAB or Con. Finance?
They (Con. Finance) told you to cancel your DD with Carnige (and on looking into it further, you found no mention of a credit agreement on your CRA file)?
How long ago did you sign up? Credit Files are updated once a month (I believe) ... so you'd think there would be something on there :noidea:.
To answer your other question I signed up for the course in late January so yes you would think that their would be an agreement on there. However there isn't. Which is very suspicious as I have my phone contract on there that I Signed up for after I signed for Trades Gateway..
Hopefully I will hear back from Trading Standards soon!
