  • Update on issue with Edinburgh Kitchen Company

    Hi Guys,

Yesterday after a few months of waiting I finally managed to speak to someone at the CAB, who referred me onto CitizensAdvice site, to post my query there and hopefully get more expert help.

Ive started a blog on this whole drama, so please hit it if/when you have time to see my progress.

    Thanks

I may be mistaken but it seems to me that the company's offer was made by (electronic) mail and was accepted by (electronic) mail, so the same rules should apply as any contract made by post. Hence, you should sue in England.

Yeah looks to be the case. Luckily a solicitor has offered her services at a fair price, and a letter of intent was sent to Ekco, they have 21 days to reply.

Whatever happens, they're going to court, and justice should be served, shame I cant say, justice will be served, because as we know, the law can flagrantly dismiss the facts, even when they are staring the judiciary in the face.

So to recount, Im chasing this on all fronts:
      1. Letter of intent sent to Ekco
      2. Email enquiry to Citizens Advice/Trading Standards
      3. Preparing to file a court claim in due course, depending on outcome of the above.
