    Applying for a mobile phone

    Hi everyone,

    I recently applied for a mobile phone at buymobilephones.net.
    I went through the standard procedure, and was refused a contract on the grounds my driving licence showed a change of address.
    I also went through Carphone Warehouse and experienced no such problems.

    I'd appreciate any reasons why this could happen ?

    I can not for the life of me see how a recent change of address, would prevent you from getting a mobile phone on contract. Normally just a good credit file is all that is required, which is no doubt why Carphone Warehouse had no problem issuing you with mobile phone contract

      hiya.

      basically what sometimes happens is, a company want you at a certain address a certain length of time.. Buyamoblie is a 3rd party and how they make their desicions is beyond me half the time!

      Carphone Warehouse have different standards entirely
