Hello
My wife received a letter from parking eye ltd , outlining a parking charge for £60 if paid now, or £100 after 28th December.I was driving her car, and parked on a Parking eye operated car park in Hawkshead. I went to the machine , and paid for 1 hour.I left within that hour so have not overstayed the ticket time. I didn't at the time realise i had typed in the registration no. of my own car, which was still at home at the time. The letter shows a photo of us arriving and departing. However the letter doesn't say we are being charged due to the wrong registration number on the ticket, but implying that we had not paid.In lieu of the recent law change on 1st October 2012, do I have any grounds for appeal.I still have the ticket which ties up with the time we were photographed entering the car park.
Although my wife is the registered keeper I was driving, and she was a passenger.
many thanks
Bernie
