  • Safestyle windows claiming extra money

    Hi all
i recently signed a contract with safestyle and stupidly didn't look through the contract properly within which their salesman has written down the wrong colour for the frames.
i rang them an hour after signing the contract and they said it would be fine and to tell the surveyor which I did and we both signed an order variation form which states its binding as long as both parties sign.
I then got a call saying because of the change of colour I need to pay an extra £200 and they didn't accept that the 2 sales men who sold me the windows all quoted for the rosewood in the first place and it was their contract persons simple mistake in writing white instead of rosewood?
is there any chance I can still get them to do the correct work for the agreed price?
    cheers

How long ago did you sign the contract? Did you sign it in your own home? If you you have a 7 day cooling off period if you fall in to this time period just cancel and get a full refund of your deposit, if this is how they operate before work commences god knows what way you'll be left.

    Cheers Brian

Hey I signed it on the 31/10/12 and yeah in my house and there offering me a full refund which at the moment is £60 for the survey. But I'd really like to know if I stand any chance of getting the work done because I do want it done but for the original and signed for price because it was a good deal, it just seems now as if there trying to get out of it.
      thanks
