  • Tesco`s Complaints Procedure

    Hello

I want to complain to tesco`s and have emailed customer services asking them to send me a copy of their Complaints Procedure. They have replied saying they prefer to deal with complaints on a personal basis and a personal adviser will contact me.
I have contacted them three times now and have said i dont want an adviser to contact me and their last email they said by law they dont have to and quote some legal nonsence
How can i get them to just sent me what i want ?
    Can anybody advise ?

I think it may depend on what you actually want, are you complaining about a product, service or something else?

As enaid said it depends on what it is your wanting to make a complaint about.

Can you give us more information about the issue you have with tesco, that way we can advise you more accurately and correctly.

          Re: Tesco`s Complaints Procedure

Thank you for all your replies

I want to complain to tesco`s because when i go to my Local Express and go to pay and in the queing line they have put three big boxes of products which make it difficult to get through the ile and to the tills with a buggy, bags and a child in tow. I usually bump into them and move them slightly. I talked to the Debuty Manager who could see my point and said he would look in to it. The next time i went in their was only one box so i thought a compramise and i could live with that. Then the next time i went in three boxes were back again. After talking to the Manager again he said his Boss told him to put them back. Surley every Shop has to have a Complaints Procedure available to give to their customers.

Well to me that sounds like a Health and Safety issue, I would write to the manager of the shop tell him you have followed what is supposedly their Complaints Procedure and you are now writing to the relevant dept at your HSE dept, as no action has been successfully resolved re your complaint.

The matter you refer to, Bambi, is a potential fire safety matter. If these boxes you mention could hinder the escape of persons in the event of a fire, then the Fire Prevention Officer at your local fire and rescue service might be interested in you mentioning this to them. They have the power to pay Tesco an unannounced visit and carry out an inspection of their premises and they have the legal power to tell them to move the boxes. Also, do not forget that if you though bailiffs were liars, Tesco are just as bad.

                  Re: Tesco`s Complaints Procedure

I had a ding-dong with them about three years ago and the only way I got any redress was to contact the office of CEO via headoffice. My matter did get resolved but a money card the sent as an apology did not work!!! Forget about dealing with local bods, go straight to Cheshunt.

                        Re: Tesco`s Complaints Procedure

forgiven puff LOL Tesco are the worse for complaints procedures for my problem took ages to find a place to complain , Once again Tesco have flouted the laws be it your problem with Heath and safety or with the finance side. Just because they are a hoog company dioes not mean they can get away with everything,

I was watching last night Jimmy and the Giant supermarket where he was trying to get them to sell a cheaper version of a meatball which was more nutrisious and variations on this using veal they refused , the head of the company who deals with the purchase of stock was the most arrogant **** I ever saw.

                              Tesco Complaint update

I wrote a complaint to tesco`s and said that product boxes blocking the ile to pay is a health and safety issue and a fire risk. Then 5 minutes after sending the email i got a phone call from Tesco`s telling me that they would investigate the matter and reasured me that the health and safety of their customers was important. To be fair he sounded sincere but we will see.
                              I will keep you informed
