    Re: Debt recovery

Well, long winded court process over shoddy workmanship came to some money cowboy builder was ordered to pay. As he did not not pay in time court ordered, I went back to court, they gave me form for warrant execution to fill in and pay just over hundred quid for it to be enforced.
Three months down the line and it came back void, hence ''unable to make contact with respondent''...
Went to court again, they gave me another form to fill in and want another £150 for it, but I wonder if it is worth it, if chances I will recover any of the debt are next o none?

            Hi MangoSorbet,

When was the case heard & judgment given?

While I am not "legal advice", I have run radiator centre, and been involved in distribution of these radiators for over 10 years.

First thing I would say, is that Bisque products are all covered by a 5 year warranty, so from this view you should be covered if there is a manufacturing defect. However, bisque are one of the most established manufacturers in the UK, and while a single error can occur, even with the best, it is very unusual to have a repeated fault.

Your complaint seems to be about the connections to the radiator, rather than the radiator itself, I would be interested to see any images you have of the problem, I can give you some un-biased advice if needed.

Were both the radiator AND valves supplied by Bisque ? (the valves seemed cheaper than bisque valves?)
Which radiator model is it ? and which finish ?

I would add that your problem seems to be with your supplier, not the manufacturer, and Bisque themselves are normally very responsive to helping if you have a problem with one of their products.

Obviously, there are limits to the warranty, and the goods must have been installed correctly, under current building regulations etc.....
and used correctly (ie this is a towel warmer, not dryer, placing soaking wet towels on a radiator like this may cause problems with the paint finishes....

Please let me know if you need any further help

                Kind Regards
                Paul

                PAUL,
I DO NOT KNOW HOW TO UPLOAD PICTURES ON THIS BLOG I DO WANT FOR YOU TO SEE THEM, THOUGH. IF YOU COULD EMAIL ME AT gplatukyte@gmail.com I can certainty upload picks, or if you in a vicinity of Greenwich I could drop of towel radiator for you to see.
To answer to your questions better, I do not believe, that Bisque would not be prepared to compensate, what Biscue told on the phone is, that H2O plus was the point of sale, hence same shop has to process refund. The shop is clearly unwilling.
I do not know the cheaper from non cheaper difference of valves, they cost me the same both time, but I would love you to have a look at them too.
                Many thanks,
                Gintare
