  • bad computer virus/windows not genuine

    as the tital sugests

    i have two laptops

    one i use for work, the second i have hooked up to my tv via a hdmi lead as the screen is cracked

    the other laptop which is running 7, decided to lock up after everything had loaded, the processor just hung there, i did a restore to factory status and it is now working fine

    the laptop connected to my tv throws up a message

    this copy of windows is not genuine, it is 100%

    it again loads so far and just sits there

    its obvious some sort of virus through an email but any sugestions,and has anyone got a telephone contact for microsoft uk

    the laptop is frozen so i can do nothing

    Try pressing the F8 key as the machine boots up (press & hold the power button will turn it off if you can do nothing) If you are lucky you can do a r3estore to a few days ago which may help you

        the problem i have is the second computer is hooked up to my tv via a hdmi cable for the picture as my laptop screen is cracked and i cant see a thing on the laptop

        i just cant see any instructions at the moment on my tv as i take it windows only loads minimum drivers when pressing f8 etc

          Are you able to connect to the Tv with a VGA cable (from an old monitor)?
          Do you get a display at all when the machine first boots?
          If so try pressing F2 or Del to access the bios - you may be able to select the primary graphic output.
          Are you ok to remove the hard drive? If so try it in the other machine - it may help you to see what the problem is
          Screens can be bought for sensible money on Ebay sometimes, I wouldn't recommend buying one from a Chineese vendor though

            Try to restore all the settings of windows i think it will solve your problem,or you can ask for the support for windows.
