  • Willows Veterinary Nightmare.....

    Good morning everyone ,

Just wanted anyone’s thoughts regarding our current circumstances with our vets whom currently are refusing to return our deposit .

When our little spaniel was poorly, we had to pay a 1k deposit up front , they advised us that this could be claimed back through our insurance provider in which we did . Now , the insurance claim was submitted and paid out to Willows within April , however , our new policy started in may , therefore the claim was paid out in the previous policy .

The treatment was on going into our new policy and is expected to pay out just short of 2.5k , the issue we have is we have contacted our insurance provider and they have advised us they have paid willows the previous amount of 1.3k and that willows should now reimburse our deposit …. HOWEVER , willows are now stating they will NOT pay out the 1k deposit as there is still an outstanding amount of 2.5k needing to be paid by the insurance company .. even though the 1.3k was a different policy , they have stated due to the fact the it was all treatment for the same issue they will not pay this out , a again they stated once everything is paid the. Mount should show on our account as credit and this will then be dealt with . These veterinarians are an absolute nightmare , their reviews in trust pilot is just atrocious.

I can see why they would hold the deposit until the full payment is made - once they have the 2.5k they should return it. To be honest I would also hold onto it in a similar situation until the company paid out. Really hope your dog is better,

I agree. Perhaps your complaint should be directed to your insurer.
