  • Window company not fixing issue

    Hi guys,
I am looking for some advice and hope that this is the right group.

I had £5k worth of sliding doors installed from a company in April. The day after they were installed, I contacted the company as there were some issues with the fit. It is now 23rd November and the issues have not been resolved. I have been contacting them non-stop since April and they have not replied to a single e-mail. On the very rare occasion that I can get through to someone on the phone, all I ever get told is "someone will call you back" - and no-one ever does. This has been going on for 7 months now, I have given them plenty of deadlines to sort it out and nothing happens, I have been very patient with them but I have had enough now. A specialist 3rd party company sliding door fitting company came round about 6 weeks ago and said they are the worst fitted doors they have ever seen - and still nothing has been done.

These doors were part of a larger building project that I am having done (building company is separate to the window company) and the last part of the project is to build an outside patio. My builders cannot build and tile the patio until these doors are sorted as they need taking out and putting back in. The tiles then sit on the brim of the doors to create a seamless finish. So this is holding up my entire build now.

Could someone please advise on the next steps. I told them on the phone 2 weeks that if the doors weren't fixed by this Friday that I would be escalating this so I would like some advice on next steps please.

    Thank you

Escalate it. They have had long enough. Is it worth holding up a development for 5k worth of a job?
