  • Unreliable Plumber

Hi, we had a hot water leak problem from the upstairs bathroom under the floor which made its way down into the corner of the downstairs toilet. Our plumber was up miles away so I found a guy locally who had 220 excellent feedbacks. He came over that evening and spent an hour and a half trying to find out where the leak was coming from but to no avail. He managed to link some pipes upstairs so we could at least have a bath or a shower but no hot in the basin or kitchen sink. He turned up next day to investigate further but left again saying he'd have to take up various floorboards or possibly check via the downstairs toilet ceiling, he would be with us the following day or next.
Well a WEEK went by, after a few days our plumber was available found the problem in half an hour and fixed it there and then and left after another hour, charging us £80.
So no communication from the other guy until now asking "sorry havent been in touch, hows the leak"? Following it up with "I had covid and was away from the phone"
"Anyway, glad its sorted", could he have my email address so he can invoice me for the two visits?
He obviously thought better of spending too much time with our job as he couldn't work it out, followed by a week of no contact from him until this.
    How do I play this?

Wait for his invoice then dispute it.

Consumer Rights act 2015 Chapter 4 Services para 49 :Every contract to supply a service is to be treated as including a term that the trader must perform the service with reasonable care and skill. And para 52 says "within a reasonable time
Further paras will probably apply, and the remedies include a price reduction
