  • School making my life difficult over covid

    Hi

i have had a run in with school over the past week because my 14 year old daughter refuses to wear a mask, because I do not consent to it, I’ve done a lot of research into what’s going on and I am not liking what I see. I’ve also done research into the masks and have health concerns, not to mention I believe it to be totalitarian, corrupt to the core.

Aside from my views I believe the school are breaching the human rights act and equality act by trying to coerce my daughter into wearing a mask with threats of isolating her. As far as I understand it any medical intervention is by consent, and I and my daughter do not consent.

I have today issued the school with a number of questions relating to health implications, both physical and mental, of wearing a mask. The questions are all worded in blue ink and in a legal format, they must answer them all and then I will comply; they won’t be able to or want to answer them as it requires teachers to take personal liability if my daughter comes to harm (such as excessive co2 intake, parasites and bacteria etc)

so to my point: the school are now threatening me with action over my daughters attendance, knowing fine well I won’t send her back to school until they respond to my letter satisfactory, how can they preach acts to me when they are breaching human rights in the first place? So what am I supposed to do? Send her to school to be bullied or keep her safe at home?

I may mention that they have also been harassing her about the masks , waving them in front of her and multiple teachers questioning her when again, as far as I understand, they are not allowed to question someone as to why they aren’t involved in medical intervention.

So what about other peoples human right in not being infected by a chance contact with another infectious person?

I presume you are also against vaccination?

So kindly stick to facts. The facts sre

        1) medical intervention needs consent and I don’t consent
        2) harassment and coercion is illegal correct?

          What medical intervention?

It is the law that masks should be worn. You are teaching your daughter to be a scoff law?

          Ignoring the law is illegal.

So you want to leave your daughter vulnerable to infection? If you worry about build up of bacteria then frequent changes of mask would resolve that.

Not wearing a mask is irresponsible, take it from someone that's had to cope with the heightened risk of infection because of an immune system killed off by chemotherapy and trying to steer clear of those selfish enough not to wear a mask

It's o.k. challenging things, this is not one of those things, if something was to happen to your daughter, you don't want to be one of the many relatives who wished their son, their daughter, their mother, their father, their uncle etc wore a mask.

If you want legal advice, do you think there is some particular significance in the colour of ink and form of the questions?

Well if you don't send the child to school you will be fined. If you don't pay the fine you will be brought to court. The legal issues will be tested there. If you lose your fine will be far greater than any fixed penalty.

It seems to me that if a 14 year old pupil refuses to adhere to school rules, the school has little option but to suspend the pupil and bar the pupil from the school premises.

If that turns out to be the case, the authorities would not, logically, be empowered to issue any fine for non attendance.

The pupil has not been suspended - "I won’t send her back to school until they respond to my letter satisfactory,". Parent is keeping child off school hence non attendance fine. Simple as that. Reasons why are another matter which will be tested in court if fine not paid
