  • Problem with Car Shop used to be The Car People

We bought a car on 09.12.2020,second hand Mercedes c22013.12.2020 the small fan left side is making loud noise when you switch it off; 17.12.2020 the car started showing front right and rear malfunction consult workshop. Contacted car shop advised to come in next day.
18.12.2020 l attended and got informed that the front malfunction issue cannot be fixed until after the holidays. They estimated 18.01.2021.
in regards to the fan l was told that is what all Mercedes cars are like so to ignore it.
My husband then lodged a complaint on 20.01.2021 asking to get the car repaired or provide refund to get alternative car as this was within the 14 days cooling period.
The mechanic who advised he was ordering the part to repair my car did not contact me.
took the car to get checked MOT at Halfords and it has failed MOT as major defects (repair immediately).
l emailed car shop and advised l was going to sue preety much left me driving a car and having kids inside it when it was faulty. So today got curtesy car and the guy was trying to say the light was not there previously . Lord and behold l took a video on the 17.12.2020 so the warning lights were there
Can l take them to court for negligence and the inconvenience. I had to pay Halfords for MOT.

any advice would be much appreciated in what l can do.

    thank you
