Good Evening I hope everyone is well
unfortunately I'm looking for a little legal advice on my issues around the company MusicMagpie please the buying and selling company
I have used the company 6 times previously without issues over the years selling a number of phones and tablets so carried on as usual
I received a quote of £545 for my APPLE IPAD 12.9' 64GB 4G 2018 the iPad was in immaculate condition and had been kept in a hard leather case from the day of purchase
They received the iPad on Thursday and decided to process it on Sunday morning
I then received another email 30 minuets later with this warning
The offer was now £99 down from £545 in complete shock I carried on reading the email and they have decided on the £99 because of the following
Large dents to casing
We found there are deep dents in the casing of your device. This level of damage means we have to revalue your item.
This is a complete and utter lie and I fully dispute the findings it was in immaculate condition I even sent it in the original apple iPad packaging for protection and anyone knowing a iPad Pro box will know how its packaged with packaging under the actual iPad so nothing could have touched it to dent it as you dont even send the plug nothing else was in the box other than packaging
I have emailed the company's CEO and listed my annoyance all over twitter Facebook and trust pilot I'm absolutely fuming to do this to people when they are struggling enough is simply unfair and not right.
From reading on trust pilot and social media this is a very common issue with musicMagpie and its happening more and more they apparently do it in the hope of you accepting the low ball offer without question unfortunately for them I'm not that kind of customer I'm so annoyed and not going to accept it if they have damaged my iPad I want it resolving
So what can people recommend I'm hoping I can take them to a small claims court with all my evidence and pictures before sending etc they have shown me nothing yet other than words I now need to wait to receive the iPad back
Thanks for your time and hope you can help me
