Hi, I was wondering if anyone could clarify the difference between the consumer protection act and the general safety product regulations?
They both appear to essentially state that it isn't legal to sell something that is defective or unsafe. Section 10, in particular, has been omitted in the consumer protection act due to it being superseeded by the regulation; but section 11 of the consumer protection act starts "are safe".
I'm wondering specifically about contamination of general consumer products.
Many thanks!
