hi Hi,
looking for some advice. We have a package holiday due to go to Majorca on the 27th July. We have our final payment of over £2,000 due to be paid on the 13 July. At the moment it seems like our flights may go ahead as looking at Ryanairs schedule it seems like they are scheduling 1 flight out of 3 on Mondays and our flight would look to go ahead although they are only showing Scheduling 1 week at a time.
I have seen confirmation that out hotel is closed for the summer. I have since been sending messages to the holiday company both on their website and on Facebook and they are not replying. I do notice by other customers complaints on the Facebook that they are trying to relocate customers to other hotels and not giving customer much time to consider the change.
Do I have any right to cancel our holiday based on the significant change. I understand that will have to pay for the flights but could we demand a refund for the cost of the hotel? If the holiday company offer to change our dates which I would definitely consider for next year, but if they massively increase the cost do we have the right to refuse?
Also should I pay the final installment of our holiday, although we may never see any sort of refund, but if I did pay, would this be better to increase my options.
any help much appreciated.
Many thanks
Taz
