  • Lost Electronic Device

    Hello!

    Hoping for some help/guidance please.

Recently had a party at a pub where we supplied the music (brand new Fire HD 8.

At the end of the party we decided to move on, so asked the bar staff if we could leave the device with them and pick it up over the weekend/one lunch as my OH works in the city centre where the pub is located.

When my partner visited the pub on the Monday lunch, she was told she couldn’t find it, but the bar staff remember seeing it as it was still playing music when they were locking up.
She was asked to email the manager.

Emailed the manager and he said that he can’t find it, to which we’ve asked if he can check CCTV.
His response was that the CCTV is working, but the monitor wasn’t, so was going to get it fixed.

We’ve chases again as that was meant to be Friday (14th Feb), going back to chase again, but would like to add a bit of umph to the email if possible.

So I guess what I’m asking is, does the pub have liability as they (verbally) agreed to hold the electronic device?

    Cheers
