Hi all.
This place has been a great fountain of knowledge but I couldn't see anything that could answer my query.
Essentially, I purchased a PS4 from Currys PC World in the Black Friday sales, fantastic deal, typical too good to be true thing.*
When I placed the order, I paid immediately, got an order confirmation and thought well if it was a price error they'll pick up on it and tell me.
Next day, I got the dispatch confirmation from PC World themselves. After that, DPD then sent me their tracking details etc.*
I got my text the following day as well as an email telling me the delivery is coming between 15:52 and 16:52, so I'd taken a few hours out of work to be there as I didn't want the parcel ending up at a neighbours or going back to the depot.
DPD driver arrived at my door, knocked, I answered and he went to scan the parcel to sign but he stopped and went "Oh sorry, there's a note here to return to depot", I quizzed him and he said I'd have to ring DPD to find out why, naturally I was a bit annoyed so I rang DPD who weren't answering (I'm presuming so busy from the Black Friday parcels), so I checked the tracking information, which had "Return to Consignor Requested", which roughly translated meant it's on it's way back to PC World.
I rang PC World several times with no help, eventually their Twitter team replied to my DM and said it's a simple pricing error and they'll refund it when they can.
I wasn't overly happy about this so I checked their T&Cs, which I'll copy below:
The issue I have here is I placed the order on 28/11, received the Order Acknowledgement and Order Confirmation. As their T&Cs state, they can cancel the order even if you've had an order confirmation, but as far as I'm concerned the order went beyond confirmation, as the package was literally on my doorstep.*
Another part of their T&Cs states they will email you to let you know of any cancellations, but I am yet to receive any notice from them or refund as of 04/12.*
Anyone got any insight into this? I know I'm being petty here, but at the end of the day their misinformation and lack of communication has been an issue a few times in the past for me and I'm sick of it, so I'm taking this one a bit further.

Firstly, don’t panic if you make any mistakes during your order, you can correct any input errors right up until you confirm payment. Once you’re happy everything is correct and you’ve submitted an order you’ll be given an Order Reference Number and details of the products (and/or services) you have ordered. You’ll then receive an email headed ‘Order Acknowledgement’ recognising receipt of your order. We will then send a further email headed ‘Order Confirmation’. This second email also lets you know how your products will be delivered to you. If we have to cancel all or part of your order for any reason, we will email you to let you know.
If you have placed an order by telephone and you don't have an email address, we'll give you the Order Reference Number over the phone and post you a copy of your receipt.
We take all reasonable steps to ensure all details, descriptions and prices of products and services are correct at the time the information was entered onto the system. Sometimes we have to hold our hands up and admit we have made a mistake by unintentionally publishing inaccurate information on the site (e.g. the price, description or availability of a product you have ordered). In this instance we may have to cancel your order at any time, even if you have received your Order Confirmation email, and you will receive a full refund of any charges already paid.
