I picked up a message from someone who claimed his mother had been 'conned' by Vistaprint to the tune of £9.95 a month. I would like it to be known that I - resulting from NOT checking my bank statements properly - have suffered at the hands of the same company, only to a far greater degree. On checking my statements I find that they started deducting £9.95 per month TWICE for eleven months - from June 2007 - and then put the rate up to £11.95 per month - again, TWICE, by the name of VP rewards and Club Prem (from whom you get absolutely nothing by way of membership and it was not requested). I have now sent them an email demanding the sum of £314.50 by return or face the fact that they will suffer at the hands of the small claims court and be reported to Trading Standards.
Any advice you can give me to assist in this will be gratefully received.
I had, unfortunately, given my visa card number when paying for some printing and they had seen fit to use the information to make regular withdrawals from my account. Is there no limit to what some companies will do? I do occasionally make purchases via the internet, but it seems this is not safe.
I am a seventy-one year old female and hope for better treatment than this.
I have cancelled my card so they cannot take any more money, but, unfortunately, I have to wait ten days for a replacement, which is not very convenient.
Many thanks for the opportunity to 'ramble on' - hopefully you will answer with further advice.
