Advice Re Contract

Dear all
I am sole Director and owner of a Limited Company. My partner occasionally helps out in my shop. Office manager role. Bit of Admin etc. She isn't on payroll. And does it just to help me out. She signed a contract for an advertisement to go out in local magazine. What's the chances I can get out of this as I didn't sign their contract. They are trying to say I have to pay 2k although I don't want to proceed with it. Any help is really appreciated. Thanks

You can point out that your partner is not a director of your company and therefore had no authority to bind the company.
