      Yes. That was in the mountains that overlook the western Arizona desert although we spent most of our time in the Sequoia National Forest which forms part of the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range in Southern California.

      Most Western states are blessed with OHV (off highway vehicle) areas. These are state sponsored trail networks that are maintained by the National Parks and run through some of the most scenic and beautiful countryside you've ever seen. In fact I've ridden the OHV trails in the Yosemiti national park where you can ride straight from your hotel. They even have park rangers that patrol the trails on XRs! How civilised is that?

        Sounds like my kind of Holiday , if you ever need a standyby mechanic on hand just in case next time you go let me know pleeeeeeeeeeease:okay:

          No! I used to do trials as a teenager but now the level of skill has risen so high that you need to be either really good or really stupid to try and ride the sections they build these days. I just do enduros now, about 10 races a year in the UK and recreational riding once a year in the us.
