  • Gatwick Mcdonalds MET parking charge notice

Hiya, I've seen and read that there are several cases of this McDonald's parking fine from MET at Gatwick.
Well I've got a case quite similar but this one we had allowed my dad to use our vehicle for this journey..
My dad Stopped off on the way into McDonalds for a late lunch before picking us up from Gatwick,
dad hung around and took his time eating his lunch, not realising there was a parking time limit on the carpark.
which I'm guessing a lot of people have not realised either!
Also to which my dad didn't see any signage on his way in neither coming out of the car park, there may have been signage but to the best of my knowledge and I would
assume my dad too, would of been paying more attention to the roads and vehicles that would be passing..
So with that I received a parking fine in the post Yesterday for £100 reduced to £50 if I pay within 14days as our vehicle stayed in the car park 25 minutes over the apparent
    free period!
The free limit was 60 minutes. If I'm honest this a is very steep charge considering its McDonalds car park.
The parking charge is from MET parking services and I have herd and seen online people saying to just ignore the letter it and it will go away.
I don't really want to just ignore this letter just encase anything comes back worse so, reading from the comments from other people Can you experts please help me out and advise me the best option that can help to send an appeal.

    Much is appreciated.
    Thanks Jaime lee

They are not prone to court action either but if they look like changing that you can name the driver if the appeals fail and then keeper liability is extinguished.
