  • Debt Recovery Plus Ltd Demand for payment for parking charge in Edinburgh 05/05/13

Came home from a funeral in Exeter to this letter. We went to McArthur Glen and parked in a car park when we found a space. Do not know the area so did not notice any signs about parking! My husband was driving but it is my car so they are threatening me. Had various letters which I have ignored. The letters stopped but now this one 3 years later. Charge is now £145.24 and I have until 8/2/16 to pay or they will recommend to the creditor that court action should be taken. Do I need to pay this now? They mention the Supreme Court landmark court decision! My husband is unemployed at the moment and I was considering getting in touch with them offering £1 a week! What do you think?
Any help would be greatly received?

    Thanks

I'd be filing it with all the old paperwork and ignoring anything that isn't a letter before claim or court papers.

Chasing the keeper, they can only get the original amount, if indeed they can get that. They must jump through the hoops of keeper liability to do that though and 3 years ago they weren't as close to achieving this as they are now.
