  • Anyone recommend a good solicitor

Hi just a small bit of information to see if anyone can help me.

Can anyone recommend a good solicitor in the Cheshire area or i am willing to travel to look at the possibility of being mis- sold a second mortgage. Back in 2005 I took out a secured loan of £40k with picture finance. Shortly after taking out the secured loan I was sent a second agreement telling me I had to sign it and send my original agreement to them.

In 2010 it was sold onto Idem securities.Having spoken to Idem over the past about the interest rate being high I was told it is connected to the Libor rate and is a capital and interest loan. It has now come to light from the land registry that the sale of the loan stated on the TR4 paperwork states Mortgage sale.

After receiving threatening letter over the security of my home and for me to contact the local housing authority as well as making confusing and contradicting responses I have tried to get both companies to comply with my SAR.

I sent them both a copy and have the payment receipt and have had NO response at all . I have also gone to the Information commissioner who has also been unable to get them to respond. Having taken advice from the ICO who said I would be better to go through the court process to get them to comply to the request I am looking for a solicitor who would look at the whole case and to offer me advice on how apply to the court to get the information.

Any help or advice would be greatly received

    Thanks

Might be difficult to recommend one in that area, but worth looking here and seeing what ones are around you.
