Okay did you hear back from Lee at all?

You can enter a defence saying you know nothing of any debt to Vodafone, you've asked for information under CPR 31.14 as the case has not yet been allocated to any track but not had a response, you've asked Vodafone for information but have heard nothing, and you dispute you owe Vodafone anything at all.

Basically. You don't need to worry about legal jargon just tell the court what the position is with this.

You will probably need to enter your defence via email as the Moneyclaim online system may have closed off as it's only set up for bog standard 28 day cases, but have a look anyway first.

          Hello Sharon,

I have submitted my defence today. I will send you PM so you can have a look what I said. I have managed to do it via the Government Gateway so I guess I just need to wait to hear back from the court. (or is there anything else?)

          Many thanks

          Regards Nick

That should be absolutely fine, you've covered everything you have tried to get to the bottom of what the debt is. Now it's a case of waiting for the court to allocated you to small claims / make an order based off the back of your defence. Probably be a couple of weeks xx You never know, Lee might have discovered what it is by then
