  • Overdraft Halifax

Can anyone tell me the procedure for taking an overdraft to court and at what point must they stop adding interest and charges. For example do they need to issue a default notice, when can you get the charges and interest stopped as this is mounting up at £155 p/m.

I have just received a letter from SCM solicitors demanding full payment AND saying interest and charges will still be added.

    Any advice.

    Thanks

I should also ask that previously when i paid into the account they used the available funds to pay my monthly visa card and this put me back into arrears. Can you demand that the money you put in goes to the overdraft only. Failing that can you tell them to reduce the overdraft if you pay in small bits at a time.

ok second question is answered, just logged on and i got a CCD refund(what is this) and it looks like they are reducing my overdraft down as soon as money is in the account. BUT the scumbags reduce it by £1 so i am still getting charges.
