I have been with my company for over 13 years without any disciplinary action or warnings.
Exactly, 1 year ago, my employer informed me that l was overpaid for my position and they could get 3 workers in the Far East to cover my duties.
l was asked if l would like another position within of of their other companies as my position would transfer to the Far East. I declined, as l like my position and if my job was no longer available,so be it.
3 months ago, l received an e-mail to inform me to stop covering The Americas area (which equated to half my workload) and to start teaching one of my colleagues in The Far East the role. I was not happy with this but was threatened with disciplinary action if l did not comply.
Last month, l received another circular e-mail informing me to stop covering Asia Pacific area as this was again to be covered by my colleague in the Far East.
Then, this week, the company changed over to a new processing system and a e-mail was received detailing roles / responsibilites and virtually all my duties had been transferred to the Far East. In the extremely limited duties that Are left would involve use of the new system, which l was advised l did not need.
l am aware for the need to be flexible which l have been previously were my workload increased two fold which was of no concern to me. But as my duties have been stripped to virtually no duties this doesn't sit right.
Also, the transfer of position is neither operationally or financially beneficial to the company, it is actually detrimental.
l am pretty clear on the situation but any Expert advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
