    First of all if the house was in possession then they are entitled to add "fair charges " in respect of the possession.

    So the first thing would be to ask for or SAR letter for a full breakdown of charges,

    I will try and get you a copy of the CML guidelines and then it will be a matter of making a formal complaint - probably to the FOS.

    Was the house sold at auction?
