  • Affordability complaint and court claim

I received a court claim from Asset Collections for Lending Stream payday loans. That prompted me to make an affordability complaint to LS and I advised Asset collections of this.

Asset Collections emailed saying they would pause their collection activity for 14 days and would advise again after this time.

LS acknowledged my complaint and they are still investigating after 3 weeks.

BUT today I received a court judgement telling me to pay - Asset Collections had continued with court claim even though they acknowledged LS are investigating.

I thought collections agencies would wait for a lender to complete investigations first??

In addition to the above I have 2nd court claim just at the acknowledgement stage also from Asset Collections for a 2nd LS Loan. Can I do anything to make AC stop until LS have finished?

    Thanks
