Private parking fine - fell asleep in car

I have received a parking fine from MET services for overstaying by 45 minutes at Stansted McDonald's Car park.
The driver did purchase from the restaurant but it was very late and they fell asleep.
I have so far not responded in any way to MET.
Do I have any course for appeal?

Met have proved not as reliable at losing when popla are involved as others but they lose enough to get involved, IMO. They also as yet do not do court which makes ignoring after a losing appeal, an option. http://www.bmpa.eu/companydata/MET_P..._Services.html
