I'd contact popla and ask what is going on. If it states successful that means you won. That's how they do it, always.

I've heard of a few POPLA messes like this recently I agree with M1 tho' - it says successful, so you won xx

Re: PCN received from Parking Eye - 14 day period runs out Tues 17.1.17

Kati and mystery1 - hi there. Heard nothing since POPLA letter so stupidly assumed it was done with. Rec'd a LBCCC from P Eye last week referring to the 'unsuccessful' POPLA appeal and demanding payment of 100.

Have just spoken to POPLA and (a) T Taylor FAILED to raise the '10 mins grace period' in the original appeal, so they said they hadn't considered that in the appeal, but (b) they said that they would still have rejected the claim on the grounds of the 10 mins grace period as 'it's how you use that 10 mins'.

Had my appendix out in emergency surgery last Tues so been in a haze/off work etc. Letter from P Eye dated 6th July, must reply within 14 days.

What should I do next, and do I need to seek any copies of the appeal paperwork from T Taylor as I assume I'll need to defend this? Absolutely fuming, 10 minutes over the hour on Xmas Eve, and spent over 100 in the shops? Rip-off Britain

          Thanks all

Personally, I'd be waiting for them to issue a claim and defending on the point that the POPLA letter you received was headed "Decision Successful" (but wait to see what M1 says too ) xx

Kati - thanks, did think that was possible but the text of the decision letter clearly indicates an unsuccessful appeal - how much merit the 'Decision: Successful' heading would carry would, I assume, be at the Judge's discretion?

In any case I wouldn't like to rely on that as my main defence.

Considering the Beavis case, am I p***ing in the wind here and would I be better served just paying up? Can't get through to Argos to see what they can do, but it's a retail park so I assume they'd just refer it to the landlord anyway.
