Insurance want to scrap my car, I don't agree.

    First step is to write to third party, holding them liable, and see what comes back.
    you can then work out your next step

      It appears he is playing silly buggers since I have heard nothing whatsoever from anyone. So I believe I'm going to take some solicitors to take this up asap.

        So your next step is to write to him saying if he fails to respond within the next seven days you will initiate court proceedings.
        Please pass this letter to your insurers .

        At the same time send copies of both your letters to his insurers "for information purposes "

          DES8, did I not already tell him that in the original letter, that I'd start without informing him?

          I've taken up some solicitors and I'll be filling the forms out today.

          Do I have to inform my insurers? What do I tell them? That I've taken the matter up with solicitors? Wasn't the point of taking solicitors because my insurers are playing up and not playing ball?
