  • First time renter, any advice?

My man-cub is planning on renting his first flat, he has found one and plans to sign the lease in the next 2 weeks.

Anything he should be looking out for?

Also, I'm trying to find out about the tenancy deposit scheme, or should I say I'm trying to find out if it is law in Scotland (can only find stuff for England).

Just thought I'd ask so that hopefully he can avoid some hassle in the future.

    Thanks.

    shell.

Not so sure about that. He's my only one and even though he's not far I'm going to be lost without him here. In my mind he's still too young (at 21) and I still need to look after him.
