GDPR breach

Hoping I get some help,

If I sent my credit file to be reviewed regarding PPI and thats all I wanted but now I'm getting emails regarding other potential claims for completely different things. I did not consent to this. Am i right in thinking they are using my data for not what they have said?? would this be a breach of GDPR??
