  • Cabot financial (uk) limited

Hi, I am looking for advice please. I received a letter from a County Court Business Centre on 15/10/2014
It says its a Judgment for claimant in default.
Apparently it's for loan or something taken out in 2007 from someone called The British Credit Trust. I have never even heard of them!!
I rang the number of the solicitors that are dealing with it. Mortimer Clarke Solicitors, I explained that I know nothing of this and explained if I did not owe this and it would be statued barred as its over 6 years. The lady had no idea and got really flummoxed and said she needed to speak to someone else, and ended the call.
I really don't know what to do now. Any advice would be gratefully received.

I would amend your picture more as it still has the claim number on it

Thankyou, has the picture been removed? As I can't find it now.

You have a forthwith judgment for over £6k, if you never received the court papers and don't know about this debt you need to apply to have the judgment set aside before they attempt to enforce it.

You need to submit an N244 application form and pay a fee of £155. You may be able to apply for remission of the court fee if you are on a low income or in receipt of certain benefits. Form ex160a provides full details.
