  • Letter from existing CCJ owner HSBC

    Hi all,

HSBC have a CCJ against me dating back a few years now, (I actually have 3 in total) - I have just received a letter confirming that they are pleased that i'm continuing to pay the agreed amount (£1 per month) however they would like to discuss my payment plan to ensure its still 'appropriate'. based on th review they have conducted they believe it might be appropriate to adapt the repayment plan.

So I have a few questions

    1) The CCJ is in place and therefore I dont need to adjust it for any reason - correct??
    2) My first reaction is to ignore this letter - would you agree?
    3) Is there a better option, that might assist me in improving my credit file?

    Balance is £3736.55

any help / guidence would be appreciated

Letters are sent out at regular intervals to see if your financial circumstances have changed. If you have a CCJ in place and payment set that should be sufficient. Unless you have had a substantial increase in disposable income then I see no reason to alter the repayment amount.

As for your credit file, if there is still £3736.55 and 3 outstanding CCJ's, you would find it difficult to improve that.

Thanks Tools, pretty much as I thought.
