I'm unsure where to post this as it is an insurance broker and accompanying loan for a Car Insurance policy.
Really just a heads up. If you phone to cancel a policy and it is around your payment date, put it in writing that you want the policy cancelled and get them to do the same, stating they were unable to cancel it as their systems couldn't handle the cancellation due to a payment being processed.
I've just been through a nightmare with the above two companies lasting since July 25th over this issue, with emails being sent every other day by me offering payment as long as I was not charged for the time during which they were unable to give me a cancellation figure - that was their problem, not mine.
They have thrown everything possible at me to try to get another full months payment, and in a 40 minute conversation just ended stated that they couldn't reply to an email address any longer which they'd been using all the way through since policy inception, missed payment charges (no, I'd asked them to cancel the policy in writing), and so on.
Eventually, the settlement went from £222.01 down to just £107.45 - quite a saving for 40 minutes discussion.
Do not just pay up to these people - fight for your rights and you will get them eventually. Most importantly, keep a detailed, and thorough paper trail.
Close Brothers and Premium Choice named and shamed - you are carp! Apologies for my lysdexia.
