  • Asking for original credit agreement and default notice.

    Hi
I was wondering if anyone could help me?
I have sent a letter to a debt collection agency requesting a copy of an original credit agreement along with
a copy of the default notice in order to get a default removed from my credit file. Today i received a letter from
them with a print out of the credit agreement and saying that they have requested a copy of the default from the
original lender. To be honest i was a bit surprised as i thought the credit agreement would be a certified copy, my
question is are they within their rights to just copy the agreement or should they sign it as certified? It just seems
a little easy to print out an agreement and expect someone to believe it true. Would welcome your advice.

    Thanks
