  • Can I take opos to court for liable?

Hi everyone I've recently began to repair my credit. I suffered a family bereavement in 2011 and fell into debt. I've now cleared all but one of my debts. Opos/ kapama ltd who are collecting on behalf of Minicredit.
I've been speaking to a Derek Caldwell who is totally unreasonable. Minicredit lent me £100 and now opos want £1168!
They refuse to send me a detailed statement detailing how £100 magically turned into £1168.
I've also asked for a default notification letter and a letter of intention but have heard nothing.
I've offered to pay a reasonable amount of money but they refuse.
I want this entry deleted from my credit file but am getting absolutely nowhere with opos.
I know Minicredit are no more.
Derek agreed in writing to remove the default completely in return for £1168 and I could afford to give them this but on a loan of £100 I can't I just can't.
Can I take them to court and dispute this ridiculous amount of money owed?
I'm not worried about them chasing me.
They have blocked my number from calling them! But 141 before I dial theirs gets me straight through!
I can't wait until 2018 to have this default drop off and I have the money to pay them but don't see why I should. I don't care how much it costs but I want them gone. Anyone able to advise on which court if any I could take them to?
