  • Letter and visit from Cabot

    Hi

I have a debt I've been paying towards for years and years (prob 10 years).

I've received hundreds of phone calls and now a visit from Cabot who say they want a financial statement/budget planner.

The debt they state is £4597.24 which seems to be much higher than expected.

Do I just have to fill in their forms and accept this? It feels like they've probably bought the debt and whacked a chunk on!

Any advice what to do now appreciated.

    Thanks

You can go back to them and ask for a full statement of the account and transaction list. Have you alway made payments to Cabot or has the debt recently been sold on to them?

      Hi

They told me they'd written to me but I've never received a letter so I'd say they bought the debt in the last 3-6 months.

Let me know if you need any other info!

      Thanks
