Hello help with rejection PPI/ First National now GE Money

I sent a letter to GE Money requesting the PPI back. I received a letter stating that in short that they provided the Finance to you for the PPI but they did not sell it to us. This was with a Company Living Design ( Home Imp ) Ltd. They say they were not present when sold to us or gave us advice they cannot investigate further. Living Design are no longer trading.
they state we cannot go to Ombusman as the PPI has it was taken out in
2003.
can any one help.
