Hi we are a new business and require a Consumer Credit License which we have recently (October 2012) applied for.
I understand we are unable to engage in any activities which require the use of a CCL until it has been granted but the process is taking longer than we expected. Does anyone have any idea on how long it could take and if there is any way to speed up the process?
We were recently asked to submit further information in December 2013 but since submitting the information we have received no update other than an email confirming receipt.
I was under the impression that the process would be straight forward as we have not begun trading however I have been told it could take up to 12 months for the CCL to be granted if not longer, is this correct?
