  • Have i entered an enforceable contract?

Hi! I wander if somebody out there can throw some light whether i have entered a contract.
I emailed a tour operator to book a package tour. Somedays later the tour operator elephoned me to say that there were special tickets available for the tour and if booked them i would get a a discount. I emailed back saying 'ok. Go ahead'. After a couple of days they emailed again and said i must pay in advance otherwise the tickets could not be booked. I responded saying would a cheque a do. The camback and said no as it would be too late. I di d not respond to this. A day later another email came saying that a debit card transaction would be acceptable. I didnot respond to this either. So in the evening i got a telephone call from the operators but before they could say much I said to them wait for my call as i was still not 100% decided.
The following day I got another email saying that they had paid for the ticket themselvs and now i could sent my cheque. I have refused to pay and have now been served with a summons.
